Came into Durham last night for a couple of pints with my brother and was
handed a flyer for the bands gig at the Fishtank. Decided to give it a go.
Zep and Cream are two of my very favourite bands and I have to say these
guys really did them justice ! Apparently these guys have only been together
a few months but did a crackin tight set and gel together nicely. Look
forward to seeing them agin soon. Keep up the good work lads!!!

This four piece certainly know their stuff, an
excellent set playing material from three of the greatest bands from my
youth. if ever a band deserved a bigger venue to show off their talents then
it is LedFreeCream. Thanks for a brilliant friday i will be seeing you
again soon.

Im a big fan of all the bands that you cover and i thought that you were excellant covering them all.But i was particularly impressed with the Free covers, that has to be as near to Paul Rogers as you can get. We are now you're number one fans and look forward to seeing you again x Helen and Ivor

We had a great night listening to the band. They are very tight musically and gave a rock solid performance. I knew all the songs but by partner had only heard about half before but still enjoyed them. I had seen Bad Company many years ago and this band had a similar sound and brought back great memories. The sound levels were good and the musicianship first class. A good night all around.

As a fan of all three bands Cream, Zep and Free also a great admirer of the voice of Paul Rodgers I saw in the link magazine LedFreeZep advertised at the station stokesley. I was intrigued but was working away from home so missed your act. I finally saw you on 20th Feb at the yorkshire lass.......Wow what a great performance. The vocals worked well on all the tracks , electric guitar was superb on all songs, bass and drums were perfectly pitched. The Bose speakers sounded great really highlighted the high end guitar solos. Thanks for a great night. Have already checked out when you will be in my area again and have contacted 'old' friends who will love to hear your act. I recently gave a copy of Cream greatest hits on vinyl to a friend in Aberdeen he plays it constantly.......your renditions of White Room ( personal favourite of mine since I was 16) , tales of brave ulysses , strange brew, born under a bad sign were very good.......I did go to the Royal Abert Hall to see Cream farewell concert !!!...........of course the Free songs were very well played and sung......I think the singer sounds very like Paul Rodgers........what about sourcing an old lava lamp projector like the clubs in the 60's had........swirling coloured bubbles shifting around the walls really usede to give a boost to the psychedelic sounds ........well done and look forward to seeing you again. We turned out to celebrate my other half, Paula's birthday ("crazy long-haired birthday girl" mentioned in the last review!). We were treated to one of the best classic rock sets I've heard for years - fantastic vocals, great guitar work and superb drum performance from a canny bunch of lads. Poor Crook turn-out but our group of the usual suspects made plenty of noise! Great band, will defo. be travelling to see them again soon.

As a mere bairn (24) I recognised the grand total of 1 song! This did however give me quite an unbiased view of the performance, not being able to compare the performance with the original allowed me to listen to the songs and experience them for what they are. The band seemed to work together well as a group, they participated well with the crowd, especially the crazy long haired birthday girl! The second set was more enjoyable, their energy had started to pick up in the room, the songs faster and the band more enthused.

Although it was not the type of music I would normally listen to, I really enjoyed the band and its professionalism. All of the members of the band were very talented in their own right. I especially enjoyed the more up-beat second half. Well done!

I went to see this band because I know one of the members. I didn't think I knew many of the songs from these threee bands, but am always game to try different music. I was pleased at how many of the songs I did know, I just hadn't known I did. I was also impressed with the lead guitarist, and the drummer. There were some very impressive widdly bits. Definitely a band I'd go and see again.

This review could be seen as being a wee bit biased, as bassist Steve C is a mate of mine, but I'm gonna try and be as objective as I can. Talking to some of the guys, there were some definite first-night jitters before they kicked off (this was their first ever gig with this line-up). This, however, did not show in the music, which was blasted out confidently and clearly. I was never hugely into Free or The Cream, and know only bits and pieces of Zeppelin, but I had a great time. I was especially impressed with guitarist Paul's screaming solos, which were worthy of any of the great guitar heroes. As a band, they played with near-perfect synchronicity, with bassist Steve C and drummer Phil holding a solid and consistent rhythm. That may sound like faint praise, but it is one of the hardest aspects of playing as a group and it was done well. Vocalist Steve T had perhaps the hardest job, reproducing the trademark sounds of three very widely-known singers. His performance was outstanding, delivering the lyrics without being overshadowed by their original performers. And, Steve - those Bose tweeters did the business!

As an ardent lover of Led Zeppelin, Free and Cream, I felt that the Market Tavern in Chester le Street had to be the place to be on Friday 23rd October 2009. You could argue that this review could be seen as being biased towards the band as the bass player and lead guitarist are work colleagues of mine. However this should not deter any punters from going to see this band in the future. They capture the sound and feel of these three supergroups using thier experience, talent and knowledge to produce an authentic performance. Vocalist Stevie T delivered his vocal styles with confidence and feel, adapting competently to suit the phrasing and style of each bands vocalist. Lead guitarist Paul Layfield consistently delivered the riffs and licks, note for note, in fact during Heartbreaker the solo break originally created by Jimmy Page oozed faultlessly right up to the point where the guitar hangs, feeds back and then breaks into the next riff. Unfortunately Mr Page did not perform on the night as expected, however Paul made up for his absence. Bassman Steve Clark concentrated with precision, constantly keeping it together with some fine fingerwork, most prominently during the Free songs, replicating Andy Frasers busy, unorthodox bass playing style. Drummer Phil worked tirelessly in the backround with "No Frills", keeping his head down, producing a tireless, hardworking performance allowing his fellow band members to deliver the goods. Unfortunately I had to leave before the end, however The Cestrians informed me that, many more punters arrived towards the end and a good night was had by all. Led, Free, Cream at no cost and a great treat, not to be missed!!
